Note 7: This PCA supports polling on digital data lines or on analog network. For digital data lines
check that:
a. the P/A Comm PCA at A16 is part number NT6M84BA
b. the Four Channel COMM PCA at A17 is release 03 or later
c. the HOC supports the digital data line feature.
Note 8: The internal transmit timing source is generated on the Quad SIO PCA. The external
transmit timing source is brought in from a source outside the BMC, usually associated with a
modem generated timing source from a digital data line.
Note 9: Factory settings shown are for external timing.
Note 10: Verify that the settings on the jumpers J2-J13 on the Quad SIO PCA are in agreement
with the settings on the P/A Comm PCA (A16) when working with digital data lines.
Note 11: For DIP Switch S6, do not set the switches (S6-1, S6-2, S6-3, and S6-4) to the ON
position.
Note 12: For Switch S1, the switch setting must remain at A.
