2-78 Section 060-INDP-111 System Description
signal is sent to the Switching System. The Switching System attempts to
access the second interface. The second interface also returns an EOT to the
Switching System and a critical alarm is generated.
When the allocated disk space for AMA files is reached, the following actions
occur:
1. A user-selected alarm (default = minor) is activated.
2. A log message is generated.
3. A secondary file is deleted until the amount of disk space used drops
4. The amount of time at that alarm level is recorded.
If the rate of incoming AMA file creation is greater than the rate of secondary
file deletion, or if all of the secondary files has been deleted, the second phase
of the recovery strategy occurs when disk usage exceeds 90 percent.
This second condition causes the following to occur:
1. All message journal files are deleted.
2. The alarm level is raised to major.
3. A log message is generated.
4. The amount of time at that alarm level is recorded.
If a polling session does not take place, and disk usage has reached 100
percent, the third recovery phase occurs. During this third condition, the
following actions take place:
1. A log message is generated.
2. Disk mode changes to ONLY.
3. The first disk is write-disabled.
4. The second disk is cleared of all files.
5. Subsequent AMA data is written to the second disk.
