where: 1 - first terminal listing in the table
aa - ID number assigned as the first terminal in the DMS-10 system.
For the second terminal in the table, enter the following:
>MSG nn DMST 2 bb (cr)
where: 2 - second terminal listing in the table
aa - ID number assigned as second terminal in the DMS-10 system.
Note: After the entries given in the two previous paragraphs, both the aa
and bb terminals now receive any logged messages from the BMC for
display.
The command on the previous page may be repeated up to four more times,
for a total of six DMS-10 terminal IDs. Remember to increment the digit
between DMST and the terminal number while assigning each new ID to the
table. If another terminal ID was previously assigned to a position number,
the ID is changed to the new ID. If the table position number is previously
unused, a terminal ID is assigned.
An assigned terminal ID may be deleted from its position on the table by
entering on any DMS-10 terminal the following command:
>MSG nn DMST # D (cr)
where: # - (1 through 6) item number from terminal list.
Whenever initially assigning a DMS-10 terminal ID to the table, or whenever
making a change, record the new table assignment data to disk by typing the
following on any DMS-10 terminal:
>MSG nn SITDAT WRITE (cr)
Note the system reply, such as shown below, on all of the DMS-10 terminals
assigned in the table. A failure at this point requires re-examination of the
table by re-entering the DMST command as previously instructed, and then
correcting the table by reassigning terminal IDs as necessary.
MSG FROM TTY nn (LOG) PROC-A
0000IF SITDAT FILE DISK JOB COMPLETE
Correct operation in commands and responses pertinent to the previous log
time and terminal table setup described previously should be sufficient in
testing the maintenance terminal interface for proper installation.
