BUFSZ
The Buffer Size (BUFSZ) command is used to set or examine the number of
bytes in the messages sent to the HOC. The size may be from 64 bytes
(minimum) to 512 bytes (maximum) in 32 byte increments (64, 96, 128...
512). If the frame size is not a 32 byte increment, the BMC will truncate to
the nearest 32 byte increment.
Examples of command usage
To examine the frame size, enter the following at the maintenance terminal:
>BUFSZE (cr)
The BMC responds with the frame size.
To specify the frame size, enter the following at the maintenance terminal:
>BUFSZxxx (cr)
where:
xxx - frame size in 32 byte increments.
BVALID
Site data command used to examine or change the site identification and
Switching System type.
Examples of command usage
To examine the values, enter the following at the maintenance terminal:
>BVALIDE (cr)
The system responds with a four-digit string. The first two digits represent
the site id and the second two digits represent the Switching System type.
To change the site data, enter the following at the maintenance terminal:
>BVALID aabb (cr)
where:
aa - site id
bb - Switching System type.
