Procedure 6-25
Polling Diagnostic
Step
Description
58
If the Error map alarms includes the message INCOMING CALL REJECTED 01, there is
a password problem. The host password was rejected by the BMC. Check password
used by the poller and the value in the BMC site data through the command below.
Note: After entering the following command, enter CTRL Z to exit the overlay.
>KYWDL (cr)
System responds with password in BMC site data that matches the password sent by the
HOC. If the BMC KYWDL is wrong, go to step 10. If the KYWDL is OK, go to step 11.
59
Enter the following commands to correct the KYWD password.
>KYWDxC yyyyyy (cr)
where:
x- link (1 or 2).
yyyyyy- desired password.
>KYWDL (cr)
System responds with password entered in the command above.
Note: After entering the above commands, enter CTRL Z to exit the overlay.
Proceed to step 11.
60
Once the passwords are exchanged, the messages INCOMING CALL FROM sss
ACCEPTED ON LINK nn followed by AMA SEQUENCE #yyyyyy (where yyyyyy = next
primary sequence number to be polled) are normally displayed. Additional messages may
indicate that an AMA file has closed.
Each time a AMACRD file has been completely polled, the message AMA SEQUENCE
#yyyyyy is output. Once all available data has been polled, the polling session ends and
the message CALL CLEARED ON LINK xx is output. If all available/requested data is
sent, the polling session is completed and no further action is required. If the session
failed to send any or all available data, continue to step 12.
