If the version number is incorrect, there may be a disk
system problem. Proceed to step f. If the version
number is correct, proceed to step b.
b. Switch processors. Refer to the Switch and Status
Panel Operation subsection in the Maintenance
Procedures Guide section.
Once processor switch activity has ceased, observe
whether the error message repeats. If the error
message does not repeat, proceed to step f. If the error
message repeats, proceed to step c.
c. Power down the Standby Processor. After the disk
drive has stopped completely, power-up the standby
processor. When power-up activity ceases, proceed to
step d.
d. Enter the following command to perform a processor
switch:
>SWACT (cr)
After processor switch activity ceases, proceed to step
e.
e. Determine whether the problem message repeats. If
the message does not repeat, the procedure is
complete. Report this incident to Nortel as soon as
possible. If the error message repeats, call your next
level of support.
f. Check the office records or packing list to determine
the system software version number. Compare that
version number with the number returned by the
following command. Enter (at the terminal):
>VS (cr)
