BAUD
BAUD is used to examine or change the polling baud rate for a specific
polling link. This baud rate is only used when the BMC is running on its
internal clock.
Examples of command usage
To examine the BAUD rate(s) currently assigned, enter the following
command:
>BAUD (cr)
The system displays a message similar to the following showing the baud rate
data for the two polling links:
FOR LINK #1, BAUD RATE = xxxx, T1 = yy, and N2 = zz
FOR LINK #2, BAUD RATE = xxxx, T1 = yy, and N2 = zz
where:
xxxx- baud rate for the link. Values: 1200, 2400, 4800, or 9600
yy- value of T1 timer, in seconds
zz- value of retry counter, N2.
To affect a change of the BAUD rate data for a specific link, issue the
following command:
>BAUD link rate (cr)
where:
link- one digit link number, either 1 or 2.
rate- baud rate. Values: 1200, 2400, 4800, or 9600.
Note: BMC BISYNC systems can use the V.35 interface. BMC
software controls the throughput, allowing a maximum effective baud rate
of 9600.
The system displays the following message:
FOR LINK aa, BAUD RATE = xxxx, T1 = yy, and N2 = zz
where:
aa - link number.
The values of yy and zz cannot be set by the user.
