Resource-sharing for Shared and Private Zones
If a resource-critical IP Phone is configured for a Private Zone, and there
are not enough resources found within that zone, the search continues into
the Shared Zones within the same customer for an available DSP channel.
However, if an IP Phone is configured in a Shared Zone, the Call Server
limits its search to the pool of shared DSP channels. The search does not
extend into the Private Zones' channels.
When configuring the allocation of shared versus private resources,
consideration must be given to the number of private resources that are
needed. Enough DSP resources must be configured to prevent the IP
Phones configured in Shared Zones from running out of channels.
