Data Logging

Data logging saves the values of specified registers in a log file according to the preset trigger
timing and conditions.
The data is stored in the RAM in the CPU or on the USB memory device.

Operating Procedure

This section describes how to perform data logging.
1.
Connect the SERVOPACK to the PC, and start the MPE720.
Refer to the following section for details.
Chapter 4 Preparations
Select View − System from the menu bar.

The System Pane will be displayed on the left side of the window.
3.
Click the Expand [+] Button next to the Logging item to display the log files in the Sys-
tem Pane and double-click Logging1.
Merits
The file writing speed is fast and the
overhead that is placed on the scan is
low.
• Data can be stored for a long time.
• Logged data can be viewed easily by
inserting the USB memory device into a
PC.

Demerits
• Data is lost when the control power
supply is turned OFF.
• Storage capacity is limited to 8 MB.
The file writing speed is slow and the
overhead that is placed on the scan is
high.
