The minimum length for a new password.

If a password is already less than the minimum length, setting this value has no effect. For ex‐
ample, if your password is 8 characters, and the minimum length is changed to 10 characters,
the 8 character password is still valid. However, the next time you change the password, you
must choose a new password that is 10 characters or greater.

Minimum password length only applies to local users. Minimum password length for enterprise
users is managed by the enterprise server.
○
The number of minutes your account is locked after the maximum number of failed log on at‐
tempts.
○
The account can become locked due to failed log on attempts or by the administrator.
