NOTE:
If the computer does not start, check that the power switch on the back of the
computer cabinet, in the upper right corner, is turned ON.

2.3.3 Start up from power off

If the power was turned off to the entire system (Main Disconnect Control A1 Power Panel
breaker is turned off), follow these steps:
1. Turn on power to the Main Disconnect Control.
NOTE:
If the computer does not start, check that the power switch on the back of the
computer cabinet, in the upper right corner, is turned ON.
2. Press <E-Stop Reset> on the gantry controls to allow x-ray, table and gantry motions.
3. Check the console display for messages that require your attention. Follow any instructions.

2.3.4 System start up failures

If the system fails to start up completely, toggle the power switch on the back of the computer
cabinet, in the upper right corner, to ON.

2.4 Shut down or restart the system

Perform a shutdown of the system at least once a week for optimum system performance. A
system restart should be done daily.

2.4.1 Considerations

The power button on the scan control interface will be lit.
The system provides a visual indication when it is entering into shutdown.
If the system is already shut down, the power button on the scan control interface flashes,
the computer is turned off, and the moon icon on the gantry display is lit.

2.4.2 Shutdown process

1. Close any open study.
2. Remove any USB devices before restarting or shutting down.
NOTE:
If a save or restore of scan data is in progress, wait for the process to complete,
exit
unexpectedly while a USB drive is connected, remove the USB drive and restart
the system.
3. From the image monitor, click
Mode menu, click Shut Down , then Shutdown .
