The image display/image list contains information related to images that comprise the
selected series. This function provides a list of all the exams on the system disk available for
viewing.
1.3 Reconstruction and Image Processing Overview
The Reconstruction and Image Processing Task List provides an overview of what image
processing is required for a protocol/exam. It allows you to manage all image processing
activities from one window, including set up, monitoring and transferring. It also allows you to
view the images created for any image-processing series.
Several image-processing tasks work only with raw or unprocessed scan data. For this reason
the Reconstruction and Image Processing Task List and its functionality is available during the
initial scan session, when it opens on the right monitor. You also access the Reconstruction and
Image Processing Task List by opening an exam in the File Manager.
1.4 Additional Considerations
If a power failure occurs during a prospective image reconstruction, any images reconstructed
prior to the power failure are not displayed in the browser/patient list and are not saved in the
database. Type an exam/series/image number in the Accelerator Line, and then select another
exam from the browser to refresh it. There may be a slight delay. If this action fails, reboot the
system. If that fails, use post-scan secondary reconstruction to generate the images. There is
no need to rescan the patient.
