the acquisition by accessing the mA table. The Patient Orientation and Patient Position for the
series must match the scout. If there is no scout or the patient orientations do not match,
SmartmA will be disabled, and the following message will be displayed:
The mA table will indicate when one or more scan rotations are at the maximum or minimum
mA value specified for the prescribed scan. This is to notify you to check the parameters to
ensure the acquisition will provide the expected results.
NOTE:
Even if you are using SmartmA, the Manual mA field should be filled in with a
reasonable value in case SmartmA should be inadvertently disabled.

4.3.2.3 mA Max and mA Min

mA Max and mA Min values allow the user to specify a minimum and maximum mA range for
SmartmA. The mA Max value sets the maximum mA allowed, or the high mA clipping value.
The mA Min value sets the minimum mA allowed. You need to enter the correct mA Max and
mA Min values for the focal spot you wish to use based on .
You are able to change mA Max and mA Min after kV Assist is turned on. Set appropriate
values prior to turning on kV Assist to adjust the mA Max range if a kV is lower than the baseline
kV used.

SmartmA, ODM and kV Assist unavailable due to lack of valid scout. Scan a
scout or Manual mA and kV must be set.
Enables or disables the ODM feature.
When enabled, up to three locations within the group can have ODM applied, with the locations
specified either graphically on the scout image or by the start and end locations of the respective
applied ODM regions.
Displays the start and end location of the ODM region.
When the ODM feature is enabled, the first start and end location are set by default at the start‐
ing edge of the scan range.
By default, one set of start and end location entry fields are created. The number of ODM regions
can be increased by clicking the region selection option.
The maximum number of ODM regions within a group is three. The regions cannot overlap with
each other.
When ODM is applied, the mA Table shows the maximum mA for each of the following regions:
(A) anterior, (P) posterior, (L) left of the patient, (R) right of the patient.
Scan rotations where ODM is applied have an accompanying drop in the applied mA in the (A)
anterior direction when compared to the (P) posterior direction. If the Patient Orientation changes
from, Head First to Feet First, then the positions of (L) and (R) are reversed.
ODM can be set in Protocol Management.
