Every three seconds the unit try’s a new restart and test whether the error still appears. 5.2 Test Mode The test mode is activated by inserting a jumper on PCB Responder 1000/1100 (J3 5-6). In the test mode, some LED’s of the energy levels (2J to 30J) will indicate any detected malfunction. The table below lists all error codes and the corresponding explanations.

The battery module is located in the bottom shell. With the unit open, first disconnect the plug connection BATTLOAD to the PCB. Then remove the 4 attachment screws. Caution: Use only original GE Medical Systems batteries (see chapter 11, Spare Parts List) Return defective battery module to the factory for proper disposal.

The tests are generally performed with Safety Testers, on most of them, the measuring circuits according IEC 601 are already implemented.

In any case, the leakage current is measured from any exposed conductive parts to ground, the unit under test has to be switched on and off.
