Removing the Craft Interface

Installing the Craft Interface

The craft interface is located on the upper front of the TX Matrix Plus router. The craft
interface weighs approximately 4.5 lb (1.3 kg). The craft interface is hot-insertable and
hot-removable.
NOTE: Removing the upper front fan tray might make it easier to grasp the
craft interface.
To remove the craft interface (see Figure 120 on page 353):
Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect

the strap to one of the ESD points on the chassis.
Loosen the nuts and spacers at the four corners of the craft interface, using a 5/16

inch nut driver.
Grasp the left and right handles on the craft interface, and carefully pull it straight out
3.
of the chassis.
CAUTION: Do not leave the craft interface slot empty for more than a short
time while the TX Matrix Plus router is operational. The craft interface must
remain in the chassis for proper airflow.

To install the craft interface (see Figure 121 on page 354):
Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect

Grasping the craft interface by handles, press it into place.
