Table 61: Seven-Input 420-A Power Supply Electrical Specifications

Item
Specification
DC input voltage
Nominal –48 VDC, –60 VDC
Operating range: –40.0 to –72.0 VDC
NOTE: If the input voltage from the DC power source drops below -37.5
to -39.5 VDC, the router automatically shuts down. During automatic
shutdown, the circuit remains active. When the input voltage returns to
–43.0 to –44.00 VDC, the router automatically starts up again and the
system returns to normal operation within 30 minutes. No operator
intervention is required.

To allow for future growth so that you can operate the router in any hardware configuration
without upgrading the power infrastructure, we recommend that you provision at least
48 A @ –48 VDC (nominal) per input.
If you do not plan to provision at least 48 A @ –48 VDC (nominal) per input, you can use
the information in Table 62 on page 436 to calculate the typical power consumption @
–48 VDC and typical thermal output for your hardware configuration. Table 62 on page 436
lists the system current requirements for various hardware components when the TX
Matrix Plus router is operating under typical voltage conditions.
