Removing a Fiber-Optic Array Cable

CAUTION: During maintenance or replacement procedures, small deposits
of oil, dust, and debris can enter the TXP-F13 SIB and TXP-T1600 SIB
fiber-optic array ports, the fiber-optic array cable connectors, and the
loopback connectors and adapters. We recommend that you clean the optics
in these components, as well as the loopback connector and adapter dust
covers, immediately before connecting them.
NOTE: If you have previously routed a spare fiber-optic array cable between
the TX Matrix Plus router and T1600 router, some of the steps in this procedure
have already been performed.
To replace a fiber-optic array cable:
Take the switching plane offline.

Bring the TXP-F13 SIB offline using one of the following methods:

To bring a TXP-F13 SIB and the TXP-T1600 SIBs connected to it offline, press and
hold the
online/offline button in the middle of the TXP-F13 SIB faceplate until
SIB

OK
RxPWR
Press and hold the online/offline button on the TXP-T1600 SIB faceplate until the
LED is not lit.
RX
Issue the following CLI commands:
user@host> request chassis sib f13 slot slot-number offline
Offline initiated, use "show chassis sibs" to verify
The slot number can be from 0 through 15 and corresponds to the TXP-F13 SIB
chassis slot on the TX Matrix Plus Router.
user@host> request chassis sib slot slot-number lcc lcc-number offline
Offline initiated, use "show chassis sibs" to verify
The slot number can be from 0 through 4 and corresponds to the TXP-T1600 SIB
chassis slot. The LCC number can be 0 through 3 and corresponds to the TXP-F13
SIB adapters labeled
Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect

the strap to one of the ESD points on the chassis.
Remove the fiber-optic array cable connectors from the TXP-F13 SIB and TXP-T1600
