Remove the fiber-optic array cable. If the cable is greater than 10 m long, we

recommend that you reinstall the pulling-eye assembly on one end of the cable to
facilitate pulling the cable through the raceway.

Installing a Fiber-Optic Array Cable

NOTE: You must use the same length for every fiber-optic array cable from
a particular T1600 router to the TX Matrix Plus router. However, you do not
need to use the same length for all fiber-optic array cables within a routing
matrix.
Using the supplied label sheets, attach a label to each end of the replacement

fiber-optic array cable to help you identify the corresponding TXP-F13 SIB connector
and TXP-T1600 SIB.
Make sure that the port is offline.

WARNING: Do not look directly into a fiber-optic array port or a connector
at the end of a fiber-optic array cable attached to a fiber-optic array port.
The fiber optics emit laser light that can damage your eyes.
Route the end of the fiber-optic array cable that plugs into the TXP-F13 SIB over the

TX Matrix Plus router to the TXP-F13 SIB.
Remove the dust covers from the fiber-optic array cable connectors. Store the dust

covers in a dust-free resealable plastic bag.
Clean the port and cable.

Align the fiber-optic array cable with the corresponding TXP-F13 SIB port and carefully

press it into the port until it stops. The cable connector and port are keyed to ensure
proper mating.
NOTE: The optics in a fiber-optic array port are spring loaded, so you must
continue to apply force to a fiber-optic array cable or loopback connector
while securing it to a TXP-F13 SIB or TXP-T1600 SIB.
Pull the latch for the cable management clamp (Figure 82 on page 190) toward you
