The fiber-optic array cables should already be connected to the TXP-F13 SIBs on the TX
Matrix Plus router. This procedure connects the fiber-optic array cables to the TXP-T1600
SIBs in the T1600 router (four for each TXP-T1600 SIB). To connect the switching planes:
Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect
1.
the strap to one of the ESD points on the chassis.
Use the labels on the ends of the fiber-optic array cables and Table 41 on page 217 to

array port, and carefully press each cable connector into the port until it stops. The
cable connectors and fiber-optic array ports are keyed to ensure proper mating.
Optionally, you can route the cables into the rear cable management system. Pull the

latch for the cable management clamp toward you to release it. Place the fiber-optic
array cable upward into one the cable slots. Route the cable upward toward the top
of the chassis, and press it into the divider.
CAUTION: You must maintain a minimum bend radius of 4 in. (10.2 cm)
short term, and 3 in. (7.6 cm) long term.
Arrange the fiber-optic array cables so that they do not interfere with system airflow
