Removing a TXP-F2S SIB

The TXP-F2S SIBs are located in the front of the chassis in slots
TXP-F2S SIB weighs approximately 3.4 lb (1.5 kg).
TXP-F2S SIBs are hot-insertable and hot-removable. When you remove a TXP-F2S SIB,
traffic forwarding continues without any degradation as long as four TXP-F2S SIBs remain
in the chassis.
To remove a TXP-F2S SIB (see Figure 128 on page 371):
Have ready an antistatic mat for the TXP-F2S SIB, and one dust cover for each

fiber-optic array cable you remove from the TXP-F2S SIB.
Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect

the strap to one of the ESD points on the chassis.
Use one of the following methods to take the TXP-F2S SIB offline:
