To prepare to upgrade and integrate an operational T1600 router:
Verify that you have the required rear fan tray. An upgraded rear fan tray (part number

760-024613) is required to cool the chassis. Part number 760-009870 is not supported
for a T1600 router in a routing matrix.
Verify that you have the required power supplies. An upgraded three-input 240-A

power supply (part number 740-026384) or a four-input 240-A power supply is
required. The three-input 240-A power supply (part number 740-017906) is not
supported for a T1600 router in a routing matrix.
Order the hardware. The hardware upgrade kit includes two LCC-CBs and five

TXP-T1600 SIBs. The Routing Engines must be ordered separately. The rear fan tray
and power supplies, if needed, can also be ordered separately.

Prepare the installation site for the T1600 router.
