Basic Structure of the Printing System
The toner image is formed by the potential of the OPC belt varying with each of the
processes. They are charging, exposing, development, transfer, and cleaning.
4.2.2.1
Processes of the Print System
(see Fig. 4-9)
The OPC belt is biased to the voltage of -CBV by the HVPS (CBV). The
negative high voltage is applied to the charger unit by the HVPS (CBV),
and an electrostatic charge is generated.
The developer Roller of the toner cartridge is biased to -DBV by the
HVPS (DBV). The frame potential of the transfer drum is GND.
