Table 6-3: Normal Mode Operations
• The OPC belt cartridge is either missing or
incorrectly installed.
• Engine is in standby mode.
• Message LED is on.
• Ensure that the OPC belt cartridge is correctly
installed.
• This message will be automatically cleared after
closing the front door.
• The transfer unit is installed incorrectly.
• Engine in standby mode and "ALIGN TRANSFER
ROLLER" is displayed.
• Message LED is on.
• Check the transfer unit installation.
• This message will be automatically cleared after
closing the rear door.
• The printer has experienced a jam.
• Engine is in standby mode.
• Message LED is on.
• Location of the jam is as follows:
DRUM JAM: Drum area.
DUPLEX JAM: Duplexer.
INNER JAM: OPC belt cartridge area.
"INPUTBIN" BIN JAM: Jam in noted cassette.
MISFEED JAM: Between the print engine and the
input cassette.
OUTER JAM: Between the print engine and the
output tray.
OUTPUT BIN JAM: Between the fuser and output
tray rollers located near the top cover.
• Locate and remove the jammed media.
• Open and close the top door to clear the jam
message.
• An engine door is open (for example, Top, Front,
Rear, or Optional Bin).
• Engine halts and "DOOR OPEN" is displayed.
• Message LED is on.
• Close the indicated door, and the message will be
cleared.
