8.5.18.1 Phenomenon
Variation of the optical density is found in the image as shown in the print
sample at the upper-right corner.
8.5.18.2 Main Causes
1. The transfer unit is not properly installed.
2. The transfer roller is not properly installed.
3. THV output of the High Voltage Power Supply is incorrect.
4. Failure of the toner cartridge.
5. Defective or environmentally affected paper.
8.5.18.3 Countermeasures
1. Replace the paper.
2. Confirm if the transfer unit is firmly locked.
3. Confirm if the transfer roller is properly installed.
4. Replace the toner cartridge.
5. Replace the high voltage power supply with a new unit (see section
7.2.6).
