Test point
1 Measure voltage at map
light connector 170
terminal A.
2 Measure voltage at splice
SH3.
3 Measure voltage at in-line
connector 91 terminal C.
4 Measure voltage at in-line
connector 13 terminal X.
5 Measure voltage at fuse
#8.
6 Measure resistance from
map light connector 170
terminal C to ground.
7 Remove electrical
connector 170 from map
light.
With map light in On
position, check for
continuity between
terminals A and C of map
light assembly.

Good Reading
12 volts
If good reading, go to test
point 6.
12 volts
If good reading, repair
open in 135G(R) circuit.
12 volts
If good reading, repair
open in 135C(R) circuit.
12 volts
If good reading, repair
open in 135B(R) circuit.
12 volts
If good reading, repair
open in 135A(R) circuit.
Less than 1 ohm
If good reading, go to next
test point.
Continuity
If good reading, map light
circuits and assembly
okay.

Open in circuit from unswitched B+.
Go to next test point.
Open in circuit from unswitched B+.
Go to next test point.
Open in circuit from unswitched B+.
Go to next test point.
Open in circuit from unswitched B+.
Go to next test point.
Fuse #8, or
Open in 101L(R) circuit from unswitched
B+.
Open in circuit from map light connector
170 terminal 3 to ground.
Map light bulb, or
Map light switch.
