Action
Degas the solvents.
Check all of the connections.
Optimize the MS tune file for the desired
flow rate and the emitter position.
Clean the emitter with an organic solvent
such as methanol, acetonitrile, or ethanol.
Use only LC/MS-grade solvents.
Check all of the high-voltage connections.
Reconnect as necessary.
Deflect the air from the vent, or use a shield
to protect the ion source.
