6. Install the new piston seal as follows:
a. With the spring side of the piston seal facing upward, mount the new piston seal onto
the piston seal tool

b. Using a pipette, fill the rim of the piston seal with 100% UHPLC/MS-grade
methanol to remove the air from the piston seal spring

c. Place the pump head on the guide rods and evenly press it all the way down against
the piston seal tool to insert the seal into the pump head
