❖ To install the hard drive
1. Insert the new hard drive.
2. Connect the hard drive to the SATA cable.
3. Insert the four screws into the holes underneath the hard-drive drawer and then, using a
Torx T-10 wrench, tighten the four screws to secure the hard drive to the drawer (see
Figure 80
on
page
97).
4. Close the hard-drive drawer.
5. Using a 2.5 mm L-hex wrench, insert and tighten the two screws that secure the drawer to
the back panel (see
Figure 78
6. Turn on the EASY-nLC instrument.
7. When prompted, enter the serial numbers for the instrument and the PC box.
Note After replacing the hard drive, the system automatically detects the pumps and
valves during the startup procedure. For the autosampler function, you must calibrate
the plate formats and wash bottle positions, as these calibrations were stored on the
old hard drive.
8. Set the new administrator password and record the master key as described in the
EASY-nLC 1200 Getting Started Guide.
9. Purge the computer hard drive. For further information, refer to
Hard Drive."
