Troubleshooting & Maintenance Guide
Maintain a clean working environment for the EASY-nLC instrument.
When cleaning the outside of the EASY-nLC instrument, use a mild detergent and a clean
cloth.
Use only UHPLC/MS-grade solvents with your EASY-nLC instrument.
CAUTION Using HPLC-grade solvents or water produced by a laboratory purification
system can cause system blockages and poor spray stability.
To eliminate system blockages caused by contaminated solvents, Thermo Fisher Scientific
recommends that you use only solvent blends ordered from Thermo Fisher Scientific in the
solvent A and B bottles and the wash solvent bottle.
For information about solvents and solvent blends from Thermo Fisher Scientific, refer to the
EASY-nLC 1200 Getting Started Guide.
The Optima LC/MS mobile phases can be ordered through
Optima LC/MS)
To maintain a constant solvent quality, it is recommended to exchange the solvents at least
every two weeks. Discard the old solvents and fill the bottles with new, do not top up.
