Symptom
Copying log files to a USB
memory stick failed.
Copying to the USB
memory stick does not stop.
Forgot the admin password.
System is running slower

miscellaneous troubleshooting tips
Possible causes
Memory stick in wrong
format
Memory stick not
recognized by the
instrument
Too much data to be copied Remove the memory stick from the EASY-nLC
Memory filled with graph
data from long gradient run
System overload caused by
other reasons

Action
Format the memory stick in FAT/FAT16 format.
Use one of the memory sticks supplied by
Thermo Fisher Scientific, or try plugging the
stick into the other USB port.

action works:

instrument and press Ignore when the error
message appears.

If you are already logged in to the EASY-nLC
instrument, Thermo Fisher Scientific can extract
the password from the system in two ways:
• Use the master key to create a new password
as described in the EASY-nLC 1200 Getting
Started Guide.
–or–
• Run a factory reset.
Press Home > Graph and disable the graphs by
pressing No Graph in each graph window.
Restart the application or power down/power up
from Exit... > Power Down.
