On — Vehicle Inspection
CHECK COOLING FAN OPERATION WITH LOW
TEMPERATURE (Below 45.5°C (113.9° F))
Turn the ignition switch ON.
Check that the cooling fan stops.
If not, check the cooling fan relay and engine compart-
ment temperature switch, and check for a separated
connector or severed wire between the cooling fan
relay and engine compartment temperature sensor.
Disconnect the engine compartment temperature
sensor connector.
Check that the cooling fan rotates.
If not, check the fan main relay, cooling fan relay,
cooling fan ECU, cooling fan, fuses, and check for
short circuit between the cooling fan relay and engine
compartment temperature sensor.
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Reconnect the engine -compartment temperature
sensor connector.
