INSPECTION
DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
REMOVE WATER TEMPERATURE SWITCH
INSPECT WATER TEMPERATURE SWITCH
Using an ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity
between the terminals when the coolant temperature
is above 93°C (199°F).
Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity
between the terminals when the coolant temperature
is below 83°C (1 81°F).
If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.
REINSTALL WATER TEMPERATURE SWITCH
REFILL WITH ENGINE COOLANT
START ENGINE AND CHECK FOR COOLANT
LEAKS
