Replacing the Joint Gear

1. Switch the copier off and disconnect it from its power source.
2. Remove the development unit.
3. At the back of the toner hopper unit, remove red Joint Gear 15Z [A] and replace
it with the white gear [B] provided in the accessory bag.
NOTE: The red gear is designed to supply toner to the toner hopper only (toner
is not supplied to the development roller below).The white gear must be
installed in order to supply toner to the development roller below for
normal operation.

CAUTION
Save the red gear. If the toner hopper is removed at any time and must
be refilled with toner again, you must swap the white gear for the red
gear, execute SP2207 002, and then remove the red gear and re-install
the white gear for normal operation.
