AIR BAG AND PRETENSIONERS
Front side seat belt: Removal - Refitting
B91 or K91
a Unlock at (3) the front side seat belt connector (4) .
a Disconnect the front side seat belt connector.
a Remove:
- the lower bolt (5) of the front side seat belt,
- the front side seat belt.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a
IMPORTANT
After a seat belt pyrotechnic component is trig-
gered, it is essential to replace certain parts (see
88C, Air bag and Pretensioners, Airbag and
pretensioners: Precautions for the repair,
page 88C-7) .
a parts always to be replaced: Front seat belt iner-
tia reel bolt (31,02,01,49).
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit:
- the front side seat belt,

- a new lower bolt of the front side seat belt.
a Torque tighten the lower bolt for the front side
seat belt (21 Nm).
a Connect the front side seat belt connector.
a Lock the front side seat belt connector.
a Clip the front side seat belt into the front seat lap belt
pretensioner.
a Refit the upper bolt of the front side seat belt using
HIGH STRENGTH THREAD LOCK (see Vehicle:
Parts and consumables for the repair) (04B, Con-
sumables - Products).
a Torque tighten the upper bolt of the front side seat
belt (21 N.m).
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit:
- the B-pillar lower trim (see B-pillar lower trim: Re-
moval - Refitting) (71A, Body internal trim),
- the B-pillar upper trim (see B-pillar upper trim:
124021
Removal - Refitting) (71A, Body internal trim).
