Check the
SRS
indicator circuit input yoltage:
1.
Reconnect the SRS main harness 1 BP connector to the
SRS unit.
2. Connect a voltmeter between th e No.1 terminal
(+)
of
the dashboard
5P
connector and ground.
3. Turn the ig n ition switch ON
on,
wa it for six seconds,
then measure voltage.
Is there
8.5 V
or mor.?
YES NO
The problem has disappeared due to disconnecting and
connecting the connectors. 8e sure all terminals make
good contact, and recheck the system Isee Trouble-
shooting Intermittent Failures on page 24-28) .
Poor contact at the SAS main harness l8P connector; check
the connector.
• If the connector is OK. substitute a known-good SRS unit,
and recheck.

the problem is still present, replace the
SRS
main har·
ness.

Check ffn an open in the dashboard wire harness:
1. Disconnect the main wire harness 24P connector fr om
the dashboard wire harness.
2.
Check resistance between the No. 6 terminal of the SRS
main harness 18P con nector and No.5 terminal of the main
wire harness 24P connector; there should be 0 - 1.0 O.
Is the resistance as specif;ed?
YES
NO

Open in the BLU wire of the dashboard wire harness;
l
repair the dashboard wire harness.
Check for an open in the main wire harness:
1.
Disconnect the SRS m ain harness 3P connector from the
main wire harness .
2. Check resistance between the No.6 terminal of the SRS
main harness 1ap connector and NO . 1 terminal of the SRS
main harness 3P connector; there should be 0 - 1.0 n .
Is the r.slstance

Open in the BlU wire of the main wire harness; repair
