Check the No. 17 (7 .5 A) fuse in
the under-dash fuse/relay box.

Check for an open in the wire:
1. Remove the radiator fan relay.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON
(II).
3. Measu re th e voltage between
the No.4 term ina l ofthe radia-
tor f an relay 4P socket and
body ground.

Repair open in the wire between
the No. 17 fuse and the radiator
fan relay.
YES
Chec\ for an open in the wire:
1. Make sure the
NC
switch is
OFF.
2. Using a *Backprobe Set (TIN
07SAZ - 001000A). measure
the voltage between the No. 27
1201 terminal of the PCM/ECM
connector A (32 P) and body
ground with the PCM/ECM con-
nectors connected.

Check for loose wires or poor con·
nections at the PCM/ECM connec-
tor A t32Pl.

good, substitute a known-good
PCM/ECM , and recheck . If the
symptom/Indication goes away,
replace the original PCM/ECM.

• How to use the Backprobe Sets
Connect the backprobe adapters 10 the stacking patch cords, and connect. the cords to a multi-
meter . Using the wire insulation as a guide for the contoured l ip of the backprobe adapter,
gently slide the l ip into the connector from the w ire side until it comes in contact w ith the ter-
m in al end of the wire (see section 11 ).
