Removing the external rear view mirror
The mirrors are mounted on the outer side of the doors.
The following procedure is for removing the right hand external rear view mirror; the procedure for the left
hand mirror is identical.
Disconnect the battery (
Remove the door panel (
F2.01).
E3.08).
Cut the clamp (1) and remove the foam rubber
covering (2) around the connectors.
Remove the two retainer clips indicated securing
the external rear view mirror cable (B) to the
door frame.
Note that this photo was taken from above and
without the seals installed to illustrate the
operation more clearly.
Remove the three connectors (3) from their seats
and disconnect.
Note that there are four connectors in the left
hand external rear view mirror.
