Replacement
1. D isconnect the b attery ground cable and com pressor
clutch connector.
2.
R em ove
the
blow er-evaporator
previously.
3.
Disconnect the electrical harness at the switch.
4.
Remove the attaching screws and remove the switch.
5.
To install, reverse Steps
operation.

REAR BLOWER RELAY

The rear blow er relay is attac h ed to the instrum ent panel
reinforcem ent, ju st left o f the steering colum n (Fig. 36).
Replacement
1.
D isconnect battery ground cable.
2.
D isconnect relay wiring harness at the relay.
3.
Remove the relay attaching screws and remove the relay.
4.
To install, reverse Steps
operation.
FUSE
The C-62 or C-63 Air C onditioning U nits do n o t in­
corporate an in-line fuse. The lead wire is connected to the
H eater Wiring Harness and operates off the 25 am p Heater
Fuse — see Wiring Diagrams at rear o f this section.

SPORTVAN DUCT C-63

Replacement (Fig. 37)
1.
Rem ove sealing strips at ends o f ducts.
2.
Rem ove retaining screws.
3.
Squeeze th e sides o f the d uct together and remove the
duct from its retaining flanges.
4.
To install, reverse removal Steps 1-3, being careful n o t to
damage the retaining flanges an d seals during installation.

N O T E : Be careful
not to damage the retaining
flanges when reinstalling the duct. If the duct trim
strip came o ff at removal, install it between the
fro n t and intermediate air ducts.

CHEVY VAN DUCT C-63

Replacement (Fig. 38)
1.
Remove the sealing strips at each end o f the duct.
2.
Remove the screws retaining th e duct.
3.
Squeeze the sides o f the duct together and remove the
duct from its retaining flanges.
4.
To install, reverse " Rem oval" Steps 1-3, being careful n ot
to damage the retaining flanges w hen reinstalling the
duct.
REAR DUCT C-63 (Fig. 39)
This d u ct covers the blow er-evaporator assembly and co n ­
nects to the interm ediate duct.
