Air Cleaner Service
Servicing o f the air cleaner is recom m ended and the
elem ent replaced w hen restriction becom es severe enough to
POWER BRAKE U N IT
Removal
1. D isconnect the brake lines from the tw o m aster cylinder
hydraulic outlets. Cover brake line fittings to prevent
dust and dirt from entering brake lines.
2.
D isconnect the vacuum hose from the vacuum check
valve on the fro n t housing o f the pow er head. Plug
vacuum hose to prevent dust and dirt from entering hose.
3. D isconnect the pow er brake push ro d from the brake
pedal.
4.
Remove the four nuts (inside vehicle) from the m ounting
studs w hich hold th e pow er brake to the dash panel.
5. Carry the pow er brake to a clean w ork area an d clean the
exterior o f the pow er brake prior to disassembly.
COMPONENT PARTS REPLACEMENT
affect pow er brake response. A t any other tim e, if cleaning of
the filter is felt necessary, it should be shaken free o f d irt or
w ashed in soap and w ater and thoroughly dried,
Installation
1. M ount pow er brake assembly to dash.

2.
C onnect pow er brake push rod to brake pedal.
3.
Connect vacuum hose to vacuum check valve.
4.
C onnect brake lines to m aster cylinder outlets.

5.
Bleed brakes as necessary an d fill fluid reservoirs to
w ithin 1 /4 " o f to p o f the reservoirs.
