HEADLAMP ADJUSTMENT (Fig. 2)
T he headlam ps m ust be checked for proper aim whenever a
sealed beam u n it is replaced and after repairs o f th e fro n t end
sheet m etal assembly.
Regardless o f the m ethod used for checking headlam p aim,
the vehicle m ust be at norm al weight, that is w ith gas, oil,
coolant and spare tire. Tires m ust be inflated to the specified
pressures.
Som e states have special requirem ents for headlam p aim.
These requirem ents m ust be know n and followed.
H orizontal and vertical aiming o f each sealed beam is

provided by tw o (
) adjusting screws visible through the bezel.
The screws visible through the notches move the m ounting
ring against the tension o f coil spring.
T here is no adjustm ent for focus since the sealed beam unit
is set for focus during m anufacturing assembly.
