switch to the center term inal o f the w iper term inal board.
From the center term inal, current then passes thru the black

switch to ground; and (
) the series field-arm ature circuit is
com pleted via w iper term inal No. 1 thru the wiring harness to
the dash sw itch to ground.
" H I" Speed Operation:
Turning the w iper dash sw itch to the " H I" or fast speed
position changes the shunt field coil circuit as follows: (R efer
to Figure 15).
With the dash sw itch in the " H I" speed position, the shunt
field coil current passes thru a
the w iper term inal board to term inal No. 1 and then via the
wiring harness to the dash switch to ground. The arm ature and
series field circuit is also com pleted via the wiring harness from
wiper term inal No. 1 to the dash switch to ground.

Turning the Wiper "O F F "
T urning the wiper dash sw itch to the " O F F " position opens
the wiper circuits to ground at th e dash switch. If, however,
the w iper blades are in any position o th e r than the norm al
park or o ff position, the w iper m o to r circuits are com pleted to
ground by the wiper m o to r park sw itch as follows: (R efer to
Figure 16).
a.
The series field-arm ature circuit is com pleted to ground
via the parking sw itch to th e w iper housing to chassis o f

b.
The shunt field coil circuit is com pleted to ground via
w iper term inal No. 3 th ru th e wiring harness to the dash
wiring harness to w iper term inal No. 1, thru the parking
sw itch to ground.
