A self-contained u n it, the factory installed C-62 or C-63
System op erates on recirculated air only. R ecirculated inside
air is draw n in to the u nit, passed through the evaporator core
and in to th e vehicle through the adjustable outlets in the
ducts.

CONTROLS (Fig. 17)
The controls for the C-62 system consist o f a tem p eratu re
knob and a blow er speed lever. The controls for the C-62 &
C-63 system are the same as C-62 except for a separate blow er
speed lever for the rear (C-63) unit.

Temperature Knob

This k n o b may be regulated to control the degree o f
cooling desired. Fully clockwise at CITY provides m axim um
cooling; how ever, turning the knob to HIWAY provides
adequate cooling for highw ay operation.
B oth u nits use a therm ostatic switch Instead o f an evapor­
ato r control valve (POA) to control the o u tlet air tem perature.
N O T E :
Reduced
cooling
evaporator could be encountered when operating at
highway speeds w ith the controls at the " C IT Y "
setting.
