th e same procedure used in m ounting tube ty pe tires,
however, extrem e care m ust be exercised to prevent
injury to the sealing bead w hen forcing tire over th e rim .
A slight application o f rubber lubricant on the last 1/2 o f
each bead circle to be m oun ted will ease m ounting.

With tire beads still unseated, ro tate tire on w heel so th a t
balance m ark o n tire lines up w ith the valve stem .
3.
S tart tire beads into th e rim bead seats as follows:
If a tire m ounting m achine is being used, lift the tire high in
the rim forcing the top tire bead against the to p rim flange
seating the to p bead. T he low er bead will be seated b y the tire
weight.
When a tire m ounting m achine is not being used, beads may
be seated by holding the tire an d wheel assembly in a vertical
position and bouncing o n the floor at various p oints ab o u t the
tire circum ference.
4.
Install valve core and inflate tire w ith quick " shots" o f
air to firm ly seat th e sealing beads.
5.
Check assembly for air leaks, th en reduce tire pressure to
th a t recom m ended for vehicle operation.
