Cause
1
The MICU cannot receive signals f r o m
the bus c o m m u n i c a t i o n line.
2
The MICU cannot receive signals f r o m
the relay m o d u l e c o m m u n i c a t i o n line.

The MICU cannot receive signals f r o m
the power w i n d o w c o m m u n i c a t i o n
line.

The MICU cannot receive signal f r o m
the c o m b i n a t i o n switch
c o m m u n i c a t i o n line.
5
The MICU cannot receive signals f r o m
the gauge control m o d u l e .
8. Check for B-CAN DTCs indicated by the gauge
control m o d u l e while still in Test M o d e 1.
Are any DTCs
indicated?
Y E S — G o t o step 9.
NO—Go to step 11.
9. Record all DTCs and sort t h e m by type using the
DTC Troubleshooting.
10. T r o u b l e s h o o t the DTCs in the f o l l o w i n g order:
• Battery voltage DTCs
• Internal error DTCs
• Loss of c o m m u n i c a t i o n DTCs (begin w i t h the
lowest number first; for example, if B1006 and
B1059 are retrieved, troubleshoot B1006 first)
• Signal error DTCs
11. Remove the MPCS service connector f r o m the
under-dash fuse/relay box socket for 5—10 seconds,
then re-insert it.
NOTE: If the MPCS connector is disconnected for
too short or too long of a t i m e , or the ignition
switch is turned OFF, the system w i l l return to Test
Mode 2.

12. In the list of circuits that can be checked in Test
Mode 2. Operate the switch that is most closely
related to the p r o b l e m . If the circuit is OK, the
ceiling light will blink once. If the circuit is faulty,
there w i l l be no indication.
