3. Pull up and slide the middle portion (A) of the roof
m o l d i n g to release it f r o m the retainers (B).
4. Pull up the front portion of roof m o l d i n g .
5. Pull Up and release the rear end of the roof m o l d i n g
(A) f r o m the pin (B), then remove the roof m o l d i n g
(C).
Retainer Replacement
1. Gradually scrape off the adhesive tape (A) under
the retainers (B) w h i l e heating it w i t h a heat gun.
NOTE:
• Do not heat the painted body surface around the
retainers t o o m u c h .
• To keep the exterior resin parts near the A-pillar
f r o m being overheated by the heat g u n , w r a p
t h e m w i t h a l u m i n u m foil.
2. Clean the body bonding surface w i t h a sponge
d a m p e n e d in alcohol. After cleaning, keep oil,
grease, and water f r o m getting on the surface.
6. Install the m o l d i n g in the reverse order of r e m o v a l ,
and note these items:
• Make sure the roof m o l d i n g is installed securely.
• Replace any damaged clips.
