F r o n t P a s s e n g e r ' s A i r b a g R e p l a c e m e n t
Removal
1. Disconnect the battery negative cable, and w a i t at
least 3 minutes before beginning work.
2. Remove the glove box (see page 20-70).
3. Disconnect the front passenger's airbag 4P
connector (A) f r o m dashboard w i r e harness.
4. Disconnect the passenger's A-pillar t r i m (see page
20-47).
5. Remove the three m o u n t i n g nuts (A) f r o m the
bracket. Cover the lid and dashboard w i t h a cloth,
and pry carefully w i t h a flat-tip screwdriver to lift
the front passenger's airbag (B) out of the
dashboard.
NOTE: The airbag lid has pawls on each side w h i c h
attach it to the dashboard.

Installation
1. Place the new front passenger's airbag (A) into the
dashboard. Tighten the front passenger's airbag
m o u n t i n g nuts (B).

9.8 N-m (1.0 k g f m , 7.2 Ibfft)
2. Connect the front passenger's airbag 4P connector
(A) to dashboard w i r e harness, then reinstall the
glove box and passenger's f r o n t pillar t r i m .
3. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
4. After installing the airbag, c o n f i r m proper system
operation: Turn the ignition switch ON (II); the SRS
indicator should come on for about 6 seconds and
then go off.
