Reassembly
1. Install all parts except the self-locking nut and
w a s h e r onto the damper unit by referring to the
Exploded View. Align the b o t t o m of the spring (A)
and the stepped part of the lower spring seat (B),
and align the damper m o u n t i n g base (C) as s h o w n .
2. Install the damper assembly on a c o m m e r c i a l l y
available strut spring c o m p r e s s o r (D).
3. Compress the damper spring w i t h the spring
compressor.
4. Install the washer (A), and loosely install a new
self-locking nut (B).

29 N m (3.0 k g f m ,
5. Hold the damper shaft w i t h a hex w r e n c h (C), and
tighten the self-locking nut to the specified torque
value.
