11. Reconnect the navigation unit connector C (8P).
12. Perform the forced starting of the display (see page
23-144).
Is the diagnosis menu of the picture diagnosis
displayed?
YES—Go into the Diagnostic m o d e and use the
" N a v i System Link" diagnostic (see page 23-109) to
check the links. •
N O — G o t o step 13.
13. Shield the display unit f r o m the sun w i t h your hand,
and check that the display is back lit (only back light
is ON.)
Can you see the back light?
YES—Replace the navigation unit (see page 23-145).
•
NO—Go to step 14.
14. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
15. Remove the audio-HVAC display module (see page
23-69).
16. Disconnect display unit connector B (20P) f r o m the
display unit (see page 23-103).
17. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
18. Measure the voltage between body ground and
display unit connector B (20P) terminal No. 1 and
No. 2 individually.

Is there battery voltage?
YES—Replace the display unit (see page 23-71). •
NO—If the + B w i r e does not have voltage, repair
open in the w i r e between the under-dash fuse/relay
box and the nevigation unit.
If the ACC w i r e does not have voltage, repair open
in the wire between the under-dash fuse/relay box
and the navigation u n i t . B
