If Bus faulty indicated, check for loose or poor connections.
How to check the active noise control system in this check mode
• W i t h the engine stopped and w h i l e in DIAG m o d e , t u r n the ANC ON to OFF by pressing the No. 1 button, a low-
frequency h u m (50 Hz) should sound for about a minute.
- If the hum does not s o u n d , check for an open in the w i r e between the active noise control unit and the audio unit.
- If the h u m does not sound for m i n u t e , check for an open in the w i r e between the active noise control unit and the
microphone.
• Start the engine w h i l e the h u m is s o u n d i n g , the h u m should stop. If the h u m does not stop, check for an open in the
w i r e (NEP line) between the active noise control unit and the PCM.
