DTC 86: F-CAN Communication
1. Clear the DTC using the HDS (see page 19-35).
2. Start and run the engine for at least 5 seconds then
turn the engine off.
3. Check for DTCs using the HDS.
Is DTC 86 indicated?
Y E S — G o t o step 4.
NO—Intermittent failure, the F-CAN
c o m m u n i c a t i o n line is OK at this t i m e . B
4. Check for DTCs in the PCM.
Are any DTCs indicated?
YES—Troubleshoot the PCM DTCs.B
NO—Check for loose terminals in the ABS/TCS
control unit 47P connector. If necessary, replace the
ABS/TCS modulator-control unit (see page 19-79).
DTC 107: TCS Operation
NOTE: The ABS/TCS indicators do not c o m e on by
m e m o r i z i n g the DTC 107.
1. Clear the DTC using the HDS (see page 19-35).
2. Disconnect the HDS f r o m the 16P DLC.
3. Turn the ignition switch OFF, t h e n t u r n it ON (II)
again.
4. Test-drive the vehicle.
Is DTC 107 indicated ?
YES—Check for loose terminals in the ABS/TCS
control unit 47P connector. If necessary, substitute
a k n o w n - g o o d ABS/TCS modulator-control unit,
and r e c h e c k . •
NO—Intermittent failure; the system is OK at this
t i m e . B
